The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced the liberation of a kidnapped man in the city of Hama, after the arrest of a suspect, a girl from Homs, who was involved in the kidnapping. The ministry said that the kidnappers were asking for 100 million Syrian pounds (about 28 thousand dollars) as a ransom.

And RT Arabia quoted a ministry statement as saying that the Criminal Security Branch in Hama had received an allegation from the father of the kidnapped, who informed the branch that he had received a message from his son’s number (Zakaria, peace be upon him), via WhatsApp, and that the message told him that he had to pay 100 million. Pounds in exchange for the liberation of his kidnapped son.

The ministry added that, through investigation and investigation, a girl named (Maysa, a.s.) from Homs was suspected, and the branch lured the girl to Hama, arrested her, and seized a sum of 1,200 counterfeit dollars, and two other people were arrested, whose mission was to receive the ransom.

The girl admitted that she participated with a person in the process of kidnapping Zakaria, and detaining him in a border town in Homs governorate.

The ministry statement indicated that through cooperation with the families, the kidnapped was released, and that the search is continuing for another fugitive suspect.
