Today, Sunday, Indian media announced the death of the legend of Indian singing, Lata Mangeshkar, at the age of 92, as a result of the Corona virus.
Lata was admitted to the intensive care unit of a Mumbai hospital after contracting the virus that caused her pneumonia.
One of her doctors requested that she be kept under observation for 10-12 days, but she died on Sunday due to complications.
Known as the "Indian Nightingale", Lata has recorded songs in more than 1,000 films in several languages, and has won three National Film Awards, a Dadasaheb Phalke Award and a Bharat Ratna Award, among other awards.
It is noteworthy that Lata Mangeshek, whose real name is Hema Hardikar, is the daughter of singer and stage actor, the star of the thirties and forties, Dianas Hardikar, who later changed the family name to the Mangeshkar family.
