[Beijing Winter Olympics] Hong Kong citizens watch the opening ceremony: proud of the country's scientific and technological progress
[Explanation] On the evening of February 4, the opening ceremony of the 24th Winter Olympic Games was held at the Beijing National Stadium.
Following the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, the Olympic flag was raised again in the "Bird's Nest" after a lapse of 14 years.
The Chinese capital is once again focused on global attention.
Many Hong Kong citizens watched the opening ceremony live on TV at home and cheered for the Beijing Winter Olympics by shooting videos.

[Commentary] Hong Kong citizen Zeng Ronghui came home from work on the first day of the new year early, and sat in front of the TV with his daughter to watch the live broadcast of the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics on time.
He said that after 14 years, he was very excited to see the Olympic Games being held in his own country again.
He bluntly said that compared with the 2008 Summer Olympics, although it was difficult to use a large number of cast members due to the epidemic, the Winter Olympics were more shocking and exciting due to the integration of a large number of technological elements.

Really very excited, very excited.
In one scene, there were hundreds of children grabbing the glowing dove of peace, and they all cooperated with the very powerful LED tracking technology. Wherever the children went, the Milky Way stars followed him. This scene was really shocking.
This is entirely a testament to culture, technology, and our national strength.
Relatively (in 2008), the number of personnel was reduced, because it was always related to the epidemic, but we used our technology, our light and shadow, to perfectly present all the scenes in front of our eyes.

Especially under the severe circumstances of the epidemic, our country has the ability, confidence, efficiency and safety to hold this opening ceremony.
【解说】相较于2008年北京夏季奥运会，此次冬奥会开幕式的时间有所缩短，演员数量也大幅减少，但在香港观众看来，这场开幕式新颖独特、亮点纷呈，给大家留下了深刻的印象。

令我特别有感受的就是最后传递圣火和点燃圣火的那一幕，令我们甚至全球的观众大开眼界。(北京奥运会)在十多年前和十多年后，有什么最大的区别呢？就是我们的国力不断地增强，科技力量和绿色环保低碳的方面，或者各个领域方面，我们都比十多年前进步很多。但是有一件事是没有变的，就是我们中国人的团结。

整个开幕式让我印象最深刻的就是五环升起的一个破冰的过程，六个冰雪运动员和影像的冰球互相击打撞击，然后最后一个冰立方破裂，升起了一个晶莹剔透的冰雪五环。这样一个破冰的过程充满了现代化的高科技的元素，更加让我们感受到了祖国的强大和科技的发展。
