Watch.. the first American to live with a fully artificial heart
CNN in Arabic published the story of the first person to live with a fully artificial heart in North America, and the twenty in the world.
The site indicated that Matt Moore was suffering from heart failure, when researchers from Duke University suggested to him the idea of implanting an artificial heart “Carmat” in his body until a donor was found for him.
The report stated that Moore suffered from heart failure at the age of 39 and his heart was not getting the blood flow it needed.
Moore says in the report, according to the "Al-Marsad" newspaper, that the doctor told him that his heart stopped for 45 minutes after he could not find any heartbeat, so the doctor decided to perform this operation to save him.
A true miracle of modern medicine.
