Last September, the president of Fox Entertainment, Michael Thorn, announced in an interview that a return to

24 Heures Chrono

was under discussion.

Since then, fans of the hit series of the 2000s have been waiting and Kiefer Sutherland, who played Jack Bauer for nine seasons, is unfortunately no more advanced than them.

However, the actor admits to having discussed the idea with Howard Gordon, the showrunner of the series.

"I think the only way (a reboot) would make sense - and that's what I told Gordon - is to start a new cast that's trying to bring me back from China or wherever. I found myself,” he told the NME.

And of course, the actor remains disappointed by the early termination of the spin-off

24: Legacy

, which he was producing, after only one season aired in 2017.

Regrets

“We grew up on the (original) show – we figured out how to move forward together and it was slow.

And all of a sudden, you ask the new cast to do the same thing in a week, ”lamented Kiefer Sutherland before explaining that the actors in particular did not have access to the scriptwriters to clarify the mechanics of the scenes.

"So I feel like there were a lot of things and circumstances that were unfair to this reboot," concluded the comedian, who we'll soon see in the guise of US President Franklin D. Roosevelt alongside Gillian Anderson in

The First Lady

, Showtime's series of three exceptional American first ladies.
