"The Prosperity of Bells: The Forbidden City and Chengde Mountain Resort Collection of Watches and Clocks Exhibition" will open to the public on January 26.
The two museums work together to showcase their fine watches and clocks, including 40 clocks and watches from the Palace Museum and 20 clocks and watches from the Chengde Mountain Resort Museum.
The production period of these clocks continued from the 18th century to the early 20th century, covering not only the works of famous masters in the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland and other western countries, but also the domestic boutiques in the Qing Palace, Guangzhou, Suzhou and other places.
The exhibition will also display 10 pairs of clocks and clocks in the two halls on the same stage, so that the audience can not only appreciate the colorful clocks of different periods, different cultures and different regions.
It is reported that the exhibition will last until May 8.
After the exhibition, some of the exhibits will continue to be displayed in the Chengde Mountain Resort Museum.
