Wearing a mask, vaccination, confinement, health restrictions… For two years, countries around the world have been living to the rhythm of Covid-19 and the measures taken by their health authorities to protect their population.

But public opinion does not always adhere to the directives of these authorities.

The proof with the barometer of the consulting company Edelman, which questioned 36,000 people in 27 countries on their confidence in the national health authorities in November 2021.

Surprise: it is in China that we observe the highest level of confidence while quite harsh measures have been taken to move towards “zero Covid”.

India also has an 84% confidence rate.

Conversely, in Russia, distrust of the health authorities predominates.

In France, opinions are divided with 57% of respondents trusting national health authorities.
