Fumiko Kinoshita, a 55-year-old member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly, was accused of violating the Road Traffic Act in November last year for driving unlicensed seven times in Itabashi Ward and Shinjuku Ward from May to July last year. After that, I resigned as a member of the Diet.



At the first trial held at the Tokyo District Court on the 25th, former Senator Kinoshita said, "No, no," when asked by the judge whether the indictment was incorrect.



The prosecution said in the opening statement, "I was driving a car or moped without a license to go to the city council or a street speech. I also had a collision in July last year during the election period."



Then, when asked by the accused, former Senator Kinoshita said, "I drove to do street activities while the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly election was approaching. I couldn't make a decent decision due to the pressure of the election." explained.



After this, the prosecutor's office sentenced him to 10 months in prison.



The decision will be handed down on the 15th of next month.
