This January 25, Google pays tribute to Giorgio Gaberščik, better known as Giorgio Gaber.

The doodle of the day represents the face of the Italian singer accompanied by a vinyl and a microphone.

The artist would have celebrated his 83rd birthday that day.

Born in Milan into a family of musicians, he first tried his hand at the guitar to treat a hand injury, explains Google on his blog.

He then learned to sing and became one of the leading figures of Italian rock'n'roll.
