In an exclusive interview with a reporter from China News Agency in Hong Kong recently, Liang Meifen said that the most important thing to achieve such a result is that voters support her direction and attitude towards work, and agree with her ideals and persistence.

After graduating from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1987, he went to Beijing to study the drafting of the Basic Law of Hong Kong at Renmin University of China, under the tutelage of the famous jurist Xu Chongde; to participate in the election of the Hong Kong District Council and the Legislative Council since 2007, his office even opened in 2019 She was thrown with petrol bombs during the "black violence"; and in 2021, she will run for the Legislative Council again in the "fighting" Election Committee sector. Every step she takes is based on the needs of the country and Hong Kong, and hopes to make her own contribution .
"When I move to the Election Committee sector, my main goal is to gain more space to care about national issues, Hong Kong's overall issues, and international issues." Leung Mei-fen said that the country is at its best era, but also the most challenging era.
Hong Kong can make good use of its unique advantages and play an important role. She hopes to offer advice and suggestions from the international, national and Hong Kong levels.
The election of the Legislative Council Election Committee sector is not easy.
Candidates need to communicate and exchange with each sector, not only understand the ideas of various sectors, but also explain their own political platform, the challenge can be imagined.
"My team and I visited different sectors within 40 days, and we faced elite representatives from each sector." Liang Meifen said, but this process of running for election has also allowed her to meet elites from all walks of life. Participating in regional elections in the past has given me a more holistic perspective on work.
Liang Meifen's election platform focuses on "gathering the hearts of the people and creating a new pattern".
In her view, after the implementation of the National Security Law in Hong Kong and the improvement of the electoral system, Hong Kong has changed from chaos to governance, but there are still deep-seated problems in society, including housing problems, economic and industrial simplification, difficulties in youth upward mobility, education problems, etc. Contradiction will become a breeding ground for social instability.
“一个文明法治的社会，需要的是一个凝聚民心、避免极端化的平衡拉力。”梁美芬说，凝聚民心必须从减少社会撕裂开始，这不仅包括主动探索解决香港本地社会问题的方法，与各阶层对话，也包括减少部分香港市民与内地民众之间的误解，重建双方的互信、互助、互爱。
她也提出了一些融合香港与内地法律人才的建议，包括推动香港的高校培养更多熟悉内地、香港和国际的法律人才，加强两地司法及法律人才的培训及学位课程、成立粤港澳律师协会等平台等。她亦希望有更多的香港青年可以开阔眼界，走进内地，减少偏见，以开朗的态度开拓更多追梦机会。
“立法会议员是香港管治团队的一部分，要意识到自己的历史角色与任务。”梁美芬表示，如今，第七届立法会已聚齐90名立法会议员，大家可以同心同德，分工合作，共同努力凝聚社会共识，为香港开创新格局。
近日，香港疫情出现反复，梁美芬多次向特区政府提出抗疫建议，包括在防止扩散方面参考上海等地的流调进程等。她也亲身前往暴发疫情的社区观察。
“香港应虚心学习内地的成功防疫经验。”梁美芬指出，希望香港市民可以理解部分紧急措施，令社会尽快恢复正常，并早日与内地“通关”，促进经济民生更好地复苏。(完)
