Indian village monkeys kill more than 200 dogs in retaliation for the killing of a baby monkey

A group of monkeys in an Indian town retaliated against 250 dogs last month by throwing them from high-rises


. Locals in Lavol, a town of 5,000 people about 300 miles east of Mumbai, said the monkeys began retaliating last month.

Residents reported that since the killing of the baby monkey, monkeys have snatched dogs as soon as they saw them, and dragged them to the tops of trees and tall buildings in order to throw them from above.


Indian media reported that nearly all of the dogs in the town of Lavol were killed in the monkey elimination.
