Fukuoka Prefecture announced on the 23rd that it was confirmed that 2646 people were newly infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
The number of infected people in the prefecture per day exceeded 2000 for the fifth consecutive day, the highest number on Sunday.
The breakdown is 1104 in Fukuoka City, 552 in Kitakyushu City, and 178 in Kurume City.
A total of 95,059 people have been confirmed infected in Fukuoka Prefecture.
