On August 4, 2020 at 6:07 p.m., a huge explosion blasted the port district in Beirut.
The victims are very numerous, the damage considerable.
Among the injured, author Caroline Torbey struggles out of her devastated apartment in Achrafieh.
This apocalyptic moment that she will keep in memory forever, she chose to tell it in a book "Shards of a life" published by the publisher L'Harmattan, in the collection Letters from the Arab world.
