China News Service, Beijing, January 22 (Reporter Du Yan) Pang Xinghuo, deputy director of the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said at a press conference held today that since January 15, a total of 34 local cases have been reported in Beijing, of which confirmed There are 27 cases and 7 asymptomatic infections, involving Haidian (5), Chaoyang (1), Fengtai (21), Fangshan (5), Daxing (1) and Economic and Technological Development Zone (1).

  From January 21 to 22, the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention conducted whole-genome sequencing on the samples of the subsequent 8 cases.

The results showed that all belonged to delta variant strains (AY.30 evolutionary branch), and all belonged to the same transmission chain.
