We had anticipated Algeria's exit against Côte d'Ivoire, because as I said from the start, you don't change mentally overnight.
Algeria was not ready to fight, but rather to fight others: the wind, the supporters, the ground, the wizards in the forest… Algeria should have thought about competition rather than complaining.
Other outgoing champions have experienced the same mishap in the past.
However, being champion is not a title for life, the champion is renewed with each edition.
Opposite, Côte d'Ivoire showed they had a solid mind, players happy to be together and a pleasant game.

Now, everyone who finished first in their group deserves the respect of the others and are among the favorites, with a few runners-up entering the lot of underdogs.
