In response to the rapid spread of the new coronavirus infection, Saga Prefecture held a meeting of the countermeasures headquarters on the 20th and announced a policy to start discussions with the national government toward the application of "priority measures such as spread prevention".

In Saga Prefecture, 256 new infections were confirmed on the 20th, a record high, and the number of newly infected people has exceeded 200 for 3 consecutive days from the 18th.

Under these circumstances, at the meeting of the New Corona Countermeasures Headquarters held at the prefectural office on the 20th, it was revealed that the person in charge of the prefecture had been discussing with Fukuoka prefecture and Oita prefecture about the application of "priority measures such as spread prevention".

Governor Yamaguchi said, "Northern Kyushu has a lot of people moving across prefectural borders, and there is a risk that it will not be applied together with Fukuoka and Oita prefectures. There is a certain effect by doing it in three prefectures." He expressed his intention to start discussions with the national government together with Fukuoka and Oita prefectures toward the application of "Equal Priority Measures".

According to the person in charge, the target of the priority measures is assumed to be the entire prefecture, and we are considering requesting application within the next week.

In addition, in order to prioritize the identification of close contacts at medical institutions and facilities for the elderly, the prefecture's checklist will check whether you are a close contact if an acquaintance becomes infected or an infected person occurs in the workplace in the future. After making a voluntary decision with reference to, we have indicated that we will take measures to have people wait at home for 10 days from the day they meet the infected person.

The prefecture is rushing to prepare checklists and the like.
