  • Apothecary Garcia Child vaccine yes, child vaccine no?

A seven-year-old girl from Mérida asked her mother at home why she had been pricked twice and her classmates only once.

The little girl's question alerted the mother about the vaccination carried out at school by the Extremadura Health Service (SES) after verifying, together with a teacher from the educational center, that

the little girl did indeed have two punctures

.

The teacher accompanied the mother to the hospital after being advised by 112 so that the girl was placed under medical observation after receiving two consecutive doses of the vaccine, as reported by Canal de Extremadura.

The girl

was in the hospital

in the capital of Extremadura all afternoon.

The next day a doctor called the parents to inquire about the girl's condition as well as to reassure the parents.

The mother accompanied her daughter during the vaccination but when she left quietly, the girl received another puncture despite the fact that the girl warned her.

The parents have informed, even with the fright, that

the girl is fine

, already at home, but they weigh what measures they can adopt so that events like this do not happen again.

For its part, the school has written to the Educational Inspection to show its disagreement with the vaccination campaign being carried out in schools and asks that it be carried out in health centers or other facilities.

This television channel has tried to collect the version of the Extremeño Health Service but without success so far.

The events occurred at a school in Mérida, in Badajoz, this Tuesday, as part of the pediatric vaccination campaign that the SES is carrying out this week among children aged five and eight.
