The lifeless body was discovered Monday, January 17, in the morning.
The corpse was in a sailboat moored in the port of Paimpol, in the Côtes d'Armor.
The victim, a 67-year-old man, showed signs of beatings on his body, suggesting the intervention of a third party.
Investigators quickly established that the victim had spent Sunday evening with a young couple, who were taken into custody at the Guingamp gendarmerie research brigade.
At the end of the hearings, the woman who had spent the evening with the victim was left free "without it being, as it stands, given away", specifies the public prosecutor, Nicolas Heitz .
Her spouse was presented to the Saint-Brieuc prosecutor's office on Wednesday morning and indicted on the charge of violence resulting in death without intention to give it.
Already known for acts of violence
The prosecution specifies that the respondent is 33 years old and has already been convicted on several occasions.
The last time was in September 2021 for acts of domestic violence.
He was remanded in custody following his indictment.
The facts would have taken place on the sidelines of a very alcoholic evening.
