Experts reveal a “hallucination” symptom that affects children after recovering from “Corona”

British experts said that a number of children who were infected with the Corona virus are now suffering from what is known as “olfactory hallucinations”, which makes people smell fake odors.

Experts explained that the children's "olfactory hallucinations" came after they recovered from "Covid-19", which is caused by the Corona virus, according to the British "Sky News" network.

People with this health problem can smell the gasoline in chocolate, while the smell of lemon looks like rotting cabbage.

Smell experts at the University of East Anglia and the charity Fifth Sense say that children who face such a problem will have a special problem eating foods they used to like.

And "Sky News Arabia" quoted Professor Carl Philpott, that the condition prevents children in many cases from eating their food, and some find it difficult to eat in general.

Philopt believes that "olfactory hallucinations" are caused by the presence of fewer olfactory receptors operating in children's bodies, which leads to a weakening of the ability to sense smells, so children smell some but not all of them.

He stated that 250,000 adults in Britain who were infected with corona suffered from this health problem, but in recent months, this condition began to infiltrate the category of children as they returned to the classroom.
