On the morning of the 19th, a severed body was found in a suitcase at the site of a golf course in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture.

Police are investigating the situation in detail, assuming that someone has abandoned it.

Around 11:00 am on the 19th, a person living nearby reported to the police that "a suitcase was thrown away" at the site of a golf course in Nagahata, Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture.

The suitcase was found near the bridge near the 14th hole, and when police officers checked the inside, it was found that the cut body was wrapped in cardboard.

According to the investigation so far, the body has no head or limbs, and the gender cannot be confirmed.

Since a sports bag was also placed near the suitcase, police are proceeding with confirmation of identity and are investigating the detailed situation as if someone had abandoned it.

According to police, the site is the "New Berkeley Golf Course", which is about 10 kilometers southeast of the area where Nikko Toshogu is located, and is currently closed and not open.

A man living near the golf course where the body was found told NHK, "I visit the golf course for a walk, but I saw a black bag under the bridge connecting the holes. Only illegal dumping. I didn't think. I don't know what was inside. "
