The competent Saudi authorities are investigating an Arab resident who caused blindness to six people after claiming that he specialized in performing eye surgeries, according to the local newspaper, "Okaz".

Informed sources indicated to the newspaper that the man had come to work in a private hospital in the Kingdom more than 8 years ago

.

The sources indicated that the man, whose identity has not been revealed, worked in the eye clinic in a private hospital in the Qassim region, where he carried out procedures and surgeries such as vision correction and cataract withdrawal

.

The committee reviewed the medical treatments provided to patients, while the newspaper indicated that the affected would be compensated if errors were proven

For its part, the Qassim Health Authority clarified in a press statement that the competent authority received the report and followed up on the matter in a timely manner, and took all legal measures and referred the complaint to the legitimate health authority
