[Explanation] Recently, some media published a report titled "Thousands of "strong villas" have been demolished for many years and savagely eroded the Jinan Spring Reserve", saying that since 2017, the "violent demolition storm" has been set off in the mountainous areas of southern Jinan. "After four years, only some illegal villas in the area have been demolished, and there are still thousands of illegal villas that have not been demolished, and individual new villa projects are still under construction.
[Explanation] On the morning of January 13, the Jinan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government immediately held a special meeting, established a leading group and a special work class, and conducted a comprehensive investigation of the problem of illegally built villas in the southern mountainous area. Demolition, the relevant responsible persons will be severely investigated and punished, and will not be tolerated.
[Explanation] On January 14, Sun Licheng, secretary of the Jinan Municipal Party Committee, led members of the city's leading group of special rectification work to the southern mountainous area to study and dispose of illegal and illegal buildings on site.
On the same day, the Jinan Southern Mountains Management Committee organized a special force to demolish the newly built homestay project in Tianjingyu Village.

Law enforcement officers were at the scene to maintain order.
