On the night of January 13, the reporter visited the Shenzhen EMU Operation Institute of Guangzhou Railway Guangzhou EMU. The institute is entering the stage of preparations for the Spring Festival transportation to ensure the quantity and quality of vehicles used in the Spring Festival.
It is understood that the Shenzhen EMU application station is equipped with 14 dual-position inspection lines, which can overhaul 28 standard EMUs at the same time, and the storage line can store a maximum of 134 standard EMUs.
It is mainly responsible for the maintenance tasks of the Beijing-Guangzhou, Xiamen-Shenzhen and Gan-Shen high-speed railway EMUs, and is the largest EMU in South China.
In 2022, the Shenzhen EMU will be equipped with a total of 85 Fuxing EMUs. It is planned to launch 73 EMUs on a daily basis and 28 for night shift maintenance; at peak hours, 100% of the EMUs will be online, and more than 30 EMUs will be repaired at night.
That night, the reporter saw at the Shenzhen EMU Application Center that the epidemic prevention staff sterilized each carriage, the mechanic conducted a "physical examination" on the inbound EMU, and many vehicles entered the venue in an orderly manner.
