On January 14, a group of wild Huangshan macaques crouched on a roadside guardrail post beside the Maoshanling Highway in Kecun Town, Yixian County, Anhui Province, begging for food from passing vehicle drivers.

  When a small truck passed by, the driver stopped by the roadside out of curiosity for a while, and a Huangshan cynomolgus jumped on the front glass of the car. The driver handed the monkey some food. After the monkey got the food, Fang from Jump to the side of the road in the car.

  According to eyewitnesses, there were about 40 monkeys at most, distributed around the road.

  It is understood that the Huangshan cynomolgus is a primate, the largest of the monkey family.

The limbs are thick, the body is tall, the muscles are plump, the eyes are piercing, and it belongs to the second-class national protected animal.

  Yu Lei, director of the Hefei Wildlife Conservation Association, said in an interview that the monkeys in the video are adult male monkeys of Huangshan macaque. They are more daring and dare to ask people for food, but tourists and passers-by must not interact with it. Play or feed food, so as not to form the habit of squatting and begging for food for the monkeys.

People should also keep their distance from wild monkeys to avoid conflict and injury.

  Yu Lei reminded that vehicles passing by the road with monkeys should also slow down to avoid hurting the monkeys.
