On January 14, after nearly half a year of preparation, under the guidance of Lanzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Lanzhou Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, Lanzhou's first "Food Bank Remaining Food Collection Station" was officially opened.
This innovative public welfare model landed in Lanzhou, allowing a warm public welfare model to enter the community, providing help to citizens in need, and making the most of the surplus food to make the best use of it.
The concept of "food bank" first originated abroad. A group of volunteers who are enthusiastic about charitable causes collected the surplus food from the food processing department and major supermarkets and distributed it to the people in need free of charge.
