“4,578 victims have been identified, 4,353 of them were injured, including 3,393 employees of law enforcement agencies,” Serik Shalabaev, head of the criminal prosecution service of the country’s Prosecutor General’s Office, quoted RIA Novosti as saying.

Also, the Prosecutor General's Office reported that during the riots in Kazakhstan, 225 people were killed, including 19 security officials, the republic's Prosecutor General's Office said. 

On January 15, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to establish the exact number of civilian deaths during the riots in the country.
