The new restrictions, which will be introduced on 19 January, mean an audience ceiling of 500 in the audience with a distance of one meter between the parties - Malmö arena has a capacity of 22,500 in the audience and Friends arena holds 50,000.
On Friday, tickets for the various competitions were still sold.
SVT was criticized during the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020, for filling the Friends arena during the Melodifestivalen final.
In Denmark, they chose the week before to hold the event without an audience.
