Professor of Criminal Law in Egypt, Imad El-Feki, indicated that the doctor accused in the murder of journalist Wael El-Ibrashi may face the charge of "manslaughter" if proven guilty.

Al-Feki said that by following up on the circumstances of the journalist’s death and the accompanying accusations against the doctor treating him and his response, the legal description of the accusation against the doctor, if proven, is “manslaughter” based on the realization of a serious professional error, stressing that all of this is if the statements of Wael Al-Ibrashi’s widow are proven true, and not Her lawyer also decided that the description of the crime was premeditated murder.

He added that if it is proven that no serious professional error has occurred on the part of the treating physician, in this case, the investigation authorities will issue an order that there is no reason to file a criminal case in accordance with the law.
