Yesterday, Thursday, the Egyptian journalist, Moufid Fawzy, denied the rumors that spread during the past hours of his death, and another of his infection with the spreading Corona virus “Omicron”, calling on the state to take all measures in enacting a new law that punishes rumor mongers.

Fawzy told Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper: "A new legislation should be issued, not to offend people, because there is a person sitting on a website who spread a rumor about me, and he did not contact me and does not know anything about me."

He added, "Today, I was conducting a dialogue on the Zamalek channel with the journalist Khaled Al-Ghandour, in a two-hour recording, and this rumor came from a person sitting to spread rumors."
