Learn about the list of the richest "YouTube" in 2021

Jamie Donaldson, a 23-year-old American known as "Mr. Beast", became the highest-earning YouTube content owner in 2021, according to Forbes magazine.

His elaborate stunts have garnered more than 10 billion views on the platform and earned him $54 million.

Beast beats 10-year-old game reviewer Ryan Kage, who has topped the annual list for the past two years.

The American magazine estimated that the top 10 YouTube stars together earned $300 million in 2021.

Jake Paul came in second, and this is his first appearance in the top ten since 2018, and his brother Logan is back after his absence since 2017.

Minecraft player Nathan Graham, better known as "Inspicable", entered the list for the first time to finish fifth.

YouTube trends expert Chris Stockel Walker said this year's list is interesting because it shows "how obsolete YouTube has become," and said, "It amazes me how white and male this entire list is."

"If you take any of the names and look at the lists from previous years, you'll probably find them there as well, just in a different order," he added.

During the pandemic, many traditional entertainments have struggled to adapt.

Movies have been postponed, series schedules have been revised, and video game releases have been postponed.

As for YouTube, the pandemic period was a boom time.

Research indicates that in 2021, the platform will have 2.3 billion users worldwide.

YouTube says that the rate of watching video content on its platform reaches one billion hours per day.

High-income earners, as defined by Forbes, may not have the most views, but they have been able to successfully make money through brand partnerships, sponsorship deals, and sales.

Although it is estimated that two-thirds of YouTube's content is not in English, it appears that English-speaking content owners are better able to financially benefit from its popularity.

YouTube, like many other modern media platforms, deals with issues of misinformation and harmful content, but this does not appear to have affected content owners' ability to attract advertisers and sponsors to their channels.
