Morocco.. Two years imprisonment for a university professor in the case of "sex for points"

A Moroccan court convicted a university professor to two years in prison in a case of sexually blackmailing female students in exchange for giving them good grades, in one of the "sex for points" cases that recently shook public opinion in the kingdom.

Moroccan news websites reported that the Settat Court of Appeals convicted, on Wednesday, the professor, who has been in custody since September, of "violent indecent assault" and "sexual harassment", while the victim waived her compensation claims.

The trial of four other professors, including one who is in pretrial detention, continues Thursday, in the same case, which was called "sex for points."

This scandal came out into the open after it was published in the media, messages of a sexual nature exchanged by one of the stalked university professors with a number of his students.
