[Commentary] With the approaching of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, the people of Hebei welcome the Winter Olympics in various forms and cheer for Chinese ice and snow athletes.

In Handan District, Handan City, Hebei Province, there is a stone painting lover Wang Qi. She uses stones as paper to paint, and depicts snowboarding, alpine skiing, and ski jumping on stones.

In the past 6 years, she has created more than 100 stone paintings with elements of the Winter Olympics under her ingenious ideas and a pair of skillful hands.

  After Beijing successfully applied for the (2022) Winter Olympics in 2015, I wondered if I could embody these (Winter Olympics) themes on the rocks, and cheer for our Winter Olympics athletes. So far, hundreds of stones have been painted.

  [Commentary] Wang Qi told reporters that she is a graphic designer who loves to draw since she was a child. Until now, she will paint on stones and other materials whenever she has free time.

Wang Qi said that she has also gained a lot from these New Year's paintings on the theme of the Winter Olympics.

  I didn't like sports very much before, but this time, by collecting information and then painting, I also liked (ice and snow) sports, (I) liked that beautiful little girl, that Gu Ailing, she has been winning the championship, in the field The look on it is so cool.

  [Explanation] In addition to painting in the studio, Wang Qi will also walk into the local elementary school and teach the children how to make stone paintings.

Wang Qi said that he hoped that the children could chase their dreams of the Winter Olympics with their little hands, and express their expectations and blessings for the coming of the Winter Olympics one by one.

  After the children saw these "Bing Dun Dun" and "Xue Rong Rong", they were very happy, so cute, they liked to paint stones (painting), and they liked the Winter Olympics more through the children's hands-on experience of painting. (sports), to realize their Winter Olympics dream.

  [Commentary] Wang Qi said that since 2010, she has entered the school every year to teach children to draw stone paintings. Most of the themes are based on traditional Chinese elements. Up to now, more than a thousand students have received her guidance.

In the future, she also plans to go into the community and teach the elderly how to make stone paintings to enrich their entertainment life.
