A 12-year-old boy has died in Siberia's Altai region after smoking an e-cigarette.

His older sister and her friend were taken to the hospital, and the local police have opened a criminal file in this regard.

According to the investigation services, an 18-year-old woman came to visit her 17-year-old friend and her 12-year-old brother in the afternoon of January 10, from the city of Baiske.

After the boy and his sister smoked an e-cigarette, their health deteriorated.

The next morning, the girl's grandmother found the victims unconscious in the apartment.

The two girls were taken to the hospital, while the doctors were unable to save the boy.

The investigation bodies are currently taking the necessary investigation procedures to find out the circumstances of the accident and the causes and circumstances that contributed to the crime.
