And "Nashrat El-Athimah - your publication" (1/1/2022) followed the mourning of many Al-Ibrashi and Al-Jabali, while others expressed their relief at their death, which turned into sharp differences and controversy across the Egyptian communication platforms.

And the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa entered the line of controversy, and published on its Facebook page, and without mentioning names, the following post: “The comment of some young people on the social media about the fates of the servants who have moved to the mercy of God Almighty is not one of the characteristics of the believers nor one of the characteristics of people with decent morals, and the matter increases further For every nobility and every virtue to be smelled in the suspension is the smell of gloating and wishing torment for the one who dies, for this reprehensible behavior is contrary to the Sunnah of the Messenger of God.”

And she added in her post, "Death is not an occasion for schadenfreude or settling accounts, but rather an occasion for sermon and consideration. The mercy of God, the Mighty and Sublime, encompasses everything.

Some activists have recalled videos of the journalist Wael Al-Ibrashi accusing him of inciting against scholars and preachers.

Among the widely circulated clips is the video of Al-Azhari Sheikh Mahmoud Shaaban, who attended one of the episodes of the Al-Ibrashi program to defend himself, but he was prevented and ridiculed, according to the activists.

The activists also recalled El-Ibrashi's proposal to turn the day of the Rab'a sit-in dispersal into an official celebration day in Egypt.

However, some activists had a different opinion, and criticized the exposure of El-Ibrashi after his death.

Writer Wael Kandil wrote a tweet in which he said, "What is chivalry in having to run behind every coffin carrying a dead person who was in his life against me and I was against him, to throw stones of insults and gloating, while he is on his way to be judged before my Creator and Creator? Will you be under the dirt like them?"

As for the blogger and activist Wael Abbas, he said in a post on Facebook, “Our master Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq prostrated thanks to him when he learned of the killing of Musaylimah the liar.. It was said to Imam Ahmad, the Imam of the Sunnis: The man rejoices over the death of the companions of Ibn Abi Duaad, so is there any sin upon him?” He replied, may God have mercy on him? He said: And who among us does not rejoice in this???

And about gloating over death, activist Izzat Sharaf wrote, "Schadenfreude from the Brotherhood over the death of Chancellor Tahani Al-Jabali yesterday and now the joys that have been held on their pages and websites since the death of Wael Al-Ibrashi proves that (..) you have no honour."

On the other hand, activist Aya Hegazy said in a post on her Facebook, "It is not a time to mention the merits of your dead, after all, countries are not our dead. When we remember their merits, we erase our history, and forget those in power who worked in defenseless people. We are a thousand and we are ready. Like we don't think of Denshway and the disadvantages of British colonialism, we must think of a fourth. Record, history!"

In turn, the journalist Jamal Sultan tweeted, saying: I understand the distress of some of the gloating of many in #Wael_Al-Ibrashi and Tahani Al-Jabali, but to describe the two's position as a "political dispute" is a lie, misinformation and neglect. Rabaa is a national holiday that we celebrate every year. Wael is a partner in murder, a partner in blood.

And the tweeter, Muhammad Al-Bastawi, asked in his tweet, "Why is the amount of schadenfreude (large) in the news of the death of the journalist Wael Al-Ibrashi and the advisor, Tahani Al-Jabali? Thank God that mercy is not in your hands, I seek refuge in God from the cruelty of your hearts, you haters of yourselves and the country."

As for the jurist, Mahmoud Refaat, he said, “The Egyptian people are the most reverent of death and reverence for death for thousands of years, when they built the pyramids as tombs and invented mummification. Life ends one day #Wail_Al-Ibrashi #Tahani_Jabali.
