The musical 'Jekyll and Hyde', which has been loved for 17 years since its premiere in 2004, is meeting the audience.

The first seat of the nightline is with actor Ryu Jeong-han, who is called the mastermind of this musical Jekyll and Hyde.

Q. Corona prolonged...

How does it feel to meet the audience?

[Ryu Jeong-han / Musical Actor: I think it will be divided before and after Corona.

But the truth is, personally, I think I did a lot of self-reflection.

Because the support and love of the audience has not been taken for granted.

The performances are going up under a very difficult situation, and even the emotions behind the mask are being conveyed these days.

It seems like a performance that makes the audience even more grateful.]

Q. The musical ‘Jekyll and Hyde’… The secret to popularity?

[Ryu Jeong-han/Musical Actor: Jekyll and Hyde has a very high level of drama and music. In a way, it is a story about good and evil about the duality of human beings, which can be very simple. The script was written very tensely, and the fact that 'Frank Wild On' is the most popular composer in Korea. (I really like the numbers.) Yes. However, the Wild On music fits so well with our Jekyll and Hyde script that it seems to have an effect that maximizes the dramatic tension even more.]

Q. 'Jekyll and Hyde'... What does it mean to you?

[Ryu Jeong-han / Musical Actor: First of all, I am very embarrassed and ashamed to say that I am a 'craftsman'. Numerous actors have been playing Jekyll and Hyde for 17 years. But to me, it has to be a work that has a really special meaning. Actually, I did a lot of rubber roles before Jekyll and Hyde. So, there were a lot of people who had such doubts about whether that friend could play such a powerful character, but while playing Jekyll and Hyde, ah, that friend can also act like that. So for me, I think it was a really big turning point in my musical life.]

Q. We've been together since the premiere... How is it different this time?

[Ryu Jeong-han/Musical Actor: Not only me but also other actors worry a lot. But now, I thought that every season would be the same, but the strange thing about performances is that the gaps are still visible. So I still think it's in the final stage. In this Jekyll and Hyde, in fact, rather than dividing good and evil, I think that good and evil coexist among the many emotions in me. I think that Dr. Jekyll is not just a good character, but he is acting because he has emotions in him.]

Q. Directing the musical 'Cyrano'...

What was your experience?

[Ryu Jeong-han/Musical Actor: It's been a long time dream for me.

It was a genre that I always dreamed of and wanted to challenge while living as an actor.

After becoming a producer, I learned a lot.

I will never do it again.

As an actor, the things I enjoyed as an actor are the opposite, and I am in a position where I have to make another choice when I am being chosen, and it is the first time I am in a position to ask for a lot of things, so I learned a lot about the difficulties and difficulties of producers yo. This.

I thought that I would like to continue to challenge myself in the future.

There was also hope that the next work could show a better work.

(I'm also looking forward to seeing the producer Ryu Jeong-hwan.) Please look forward to it.]

Q. The 'role model' of juniors...

Do you feel responsible?

[Ryu Jeong-han/Musical Actor: Actually, if I have friends like that, I am very happy and happy, but it is also scary.

Because have I been doing that well as an actor?

And can you have that kind of effect on them just because you've been doing it for a long time?

I think the responsibility to have a better influence on a more personal level has grown more than the joy.]

Q. Do you have any plans or desires you want to achieve in the future?

[Ryu Jeong-han/Musical Actor: I just want to keep getting good choices.

I want to be active as an actor for a long time.

This year, I was challenged to play a positive role.

So I started playing, and I want to receive a good evaluation from the audience who likes plays, and I am excited about new challenges again.]
