Tochigi Prefecture announced on the 11th that it was confirmed that eight new people were infected with the Omicron strain.


At least three of these are believed to be community-acquired.

According to Tochigi Prefecture, eight men and women in their teens and twenties were confirmed infected with the Omicron strain.



Neither is serious.



Of these, three have not been confirmed to have traveled abroad and the infection route is unknown, so the prefecture believes that it is due to a community-acquired infection.



This brings the number of confirmed infections with Omicron strains to 15 in the prefecture.
