　　Among them, the renovation of Fucheng Wendao historical and cultural block (the demonstration section of Xinghualing District), that is, the historical and cultural block of Fucheng Wendao Lane, is connected with the historical and cultural blocks of Gongjimen, Dongsandaoxiang historical and cultural blocks, and residential houses on North Baling Street. Resources, the total length is 1.4 kilometers, and the total renovation area is about 14.2 hectares.

The architectural styles of the entire block are diverse, including the styles of Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Republic of China, integrating the architectural styles of various periods of historical evolution.

　　According to historical records, the ancient city of Taiyuan was built in the ninth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, with a circumference of 24 Huali.

The city tower and most of the city wall were destroyed in the war in 1949, only the base of the arch gate and the remnants of the city wall on the west side remain.

This is the only remaining section of the Ming Dynasty ancient city wall in Taiyuan.

For hundreds of years, the arch has never changed its name.

The texture of streets and alleys and the layout of courtyards are relatively well preserved. This area is also an important part of Taiyuan as a famous historical and cultural city. It shows the most down-to-earth living space in the city and is the root of many old Taiyuan people.
