On January 9, local time, in Almaty, Kazakhstan, some of the main Russian troops participating in the peacekeeping operation arrived in Almaty with equipment.
An air formation composed of more than 70 Il-76 and 5 An-124 transport aircraft formed by the Russian Ministry of Defense is delivering CSTO peacekeepers and equipment to Kazakhstan around the clock.
The Russian peacekeepers who had previously arrived in Kazakhstan have already begun their mission to protect vital installations, airports and critical social infrastructure.
