From our special correspondent in Douala,

Sudan, November 18, 2009. The tension is at its peak during the support match between Algeria and Egypt counting for a qualification for the 2010 World Cup. Fennecs supporters who experienced hell in Cairo in the return match (2-0) after the victory of the Greens in the first leg (3-1), are in Omdurman to unite behind their team.

Their prayer is heard: Algeria wins (1-0) against the reigning double African champions and qualifies for its third world.

This meeting will remain one of the most beautiful memories for the thousands of Algerian supporters, and for about fifteen of them, the starting point of a great adventure between enthusiasts of the Greens. The Kadi group was to be born, carried by Kadi Ouadi. “

This is not a group of supporters or an official association. I met most of the members in Sudan, we kept in touch and since then we've been living our passion together

”. The 53-year-old Algerian speaks proudly showing the two stars on his white Algerian team tracksuit and brandishing a replica of the CAN trophy.

From Sudan, the gang of 15 participated, in part or in full, in 7 CAN and a World Cup (2014).

The organizer, the big brother, remains Kadi who brings together his friends from all over Algeria, but also from France.

"When I lost my mother, they were all there"

Abbass is from Aïn Temouchent in western Algeria.

“

I am 33 years old, I was in Sudan during the famous match and since then I have kept links with Kadi and all the others.

We are united by the passion for football, but we all have families, jobs

”.

In the group, the profiles are indeed diverse: engineer, wholesaler, entrepreneur, trader, DJ, etc.

Today, the links are so strong in the group that football is no longer the only pretext for meetings.

“

When there is a wedding or a funeral, everyone comes together.

When, I lost my mother 8 months ago and they were all there

, ”confirms Kadi.

All show solidarity, and no one is left on the side of the road during the “trips” in the Africa Cup.

This year, the price of the Algiers-Douala ticket, via Paris, cost them 1,600 euros while waiting for other costs to hold for at least a month.

Because, all hope to be still there on the evening of the final to see "

 Algeria lift the Cup again

".

““

We have confidence in (Djamel) Belmadi, he achieved what no other coach had done before him.

The selection is disciplined and the players really know what it's like to play for Algeria.

We are optimistic, we will win the CAN once again

 ”.

In the meantime, the Kadi group has an appointment this Tuesday to encourage the Fennecs to beat Sierra Leone (13h GMT).
