Dubai Islamic Bank has guaranteed the payment of 796,000 dirhams for the cost of a liver transplant for the patient “Umm Aisha”, who has been suffering from cirrhosis and chronic liver failure for a year, and she needed an urgent liver transplant at Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Abu Dhabi, to save her life and her family’s financial conditions. It was not allowed to manage this amount.

He coordinated the "hotline" between the bank's management and the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, to transfer the amount of assistance to the patient's account in the hospital.

On December 21, "Emirates Today" published the problem of "Umm Aisha" with cirrhosis of the liver, and the daughter of the patient told the story of her mother's suffering with the disease, saying that the problem began about a year ago when my mother felt very tired, underweight, and unable to eat. Or drinking in a normal way, so she went to a government hospital in Al Ain, and after seeing the doctor, he asked her to take tests, the results of which showed that she had health problems in the liver, and the doctor advised that she should review the internal diseases department in the hospital.

She added that two weeks after booking the appointment, the internal medicine doctor examined her mother's condition, and asked for re-examinations and x-rays, to ensure the condition accurately.

She pointed out that the doctor quickly advised a liver transplant to save her life, because the drugs had become useless in her case.

The daughter indicated that “the doctor told them that her mother has type 2 diabetes, and that treatment must be adhered to, in addition to a special diet to control the disease.

She added that the doctor prescribed some painkillers and vitamins to her mother, in addition to medications to control blood sugar, adding that last November, her mother felt severe abdominal pain, when she was eating dinner, and immediately transferred her to the emergency department at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain, where She was admitted to the operating department, to remove the fluid accumulated in the abdomen, and she stayed in the hospital for three days, during which she received the necessary medical care.

She added that the attending physician sent her mother's medical reports to the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Abu Dhabi, to follow up on her condition. The hospital responded that this type of surgery costs 796,000 dirhams, and their financial situation is modest, and they cannot manage even a small part of this amount.

She indicated that she is the only breadwinner for her family, due to her father's death some time ago, and she works in a private entity in Al Ain, with a salary of 3000 dirhams, of which she pays 2000 dirhams for rent, and she has a family of three, and the rest of her salary goes to the expenses of daily life.
