Recently, professional technicians from the Forestry Ecological Workstation in Aksai County, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province spent more than 20 days in the mountainous area of Jiawuzong Village, Hongliuwan Town, at the end of the Qilian Mountains, which is more than 3,000 meters above sea level. In the third snow leopard protective monitoring survey, the infrared camera collected data and replaced the battery.
During the collection of data from infrared cameras, it was found that 15 cameras captured precious videos and photos of snow leopards, accounting for 50% of the total number of cameras, with 1,083 snow leopard photos and 324 videos.
According to analysis, the distribution of snow leopards covers the entire mountainous area at the end of Qilian Mountains in Aksai County.
