On January 8, the Oroqen people, the last hunting group in China, celebrated their annual carnival day "Isaren", turning the original hunting culture into a "hot" fashion.

The Oroqen people are one of the three ethnic minorities in China (Oroqen, Ewenki, Daur), living in the Oroqen Autonomous Banner, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and hunting in the Great and Small Xing'an Mountains for generations.

During the long-term hunting production and life, the Oroqen people have formed a unique hunting culture.

On that day, "Mukunda" (the patriarch) held a birch bark bowl and sprinkled wine with willow wormwood to worship heaven and earth.

The shaman beat the shamanic drum and prayed to heaven and earth.

The Oroqen hunters, dressed in roe deer leather jackets, roe deer leather boots, and roe deer leather hats, happily sang "Zandaren" (Oroqen original ecological folk song) and danced "Lurigeren" (Oroqen folk dance). ) to celebrate "Isaren".

"Isaren" means "gathering" in the Oroqen language.

Thousands of years ago, Oroqen hunters regarded entering the forest to hunt in the cold winter as a grand "Isaren" to store food for the difficult winter.

Later, the ice and snow "Isaren" gradually became a traditional festival of the Oroqen people.
