[Explanation] Enhe Hada Town is located on the Sino-Russian border, at the junction of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Heilongjiang Province. It is the only township in China without a permanent population.

Nine policemen from the Enhehada Border Police Station are stationed here all year round. They guard the 216-kilometer-long border line and 5,895 square kilometers of virgin forest, and are responsible for the patrol and prevention of local border sections, border case handling and local security case jurisdiction.

On January 9, the temperature in the Enhe Hada area was as low as minus 45 degrees Celsius. The police at the border police station set off on the snow again and started a day of patrol.

Some sections of the road were too snowy to pass, so the police could only move forward on foot, the wind was biting, and the masks were covered with ice in a short time.

This road is the only local passage leading to Heilongjiang Province. In order to facilitate the passage of vehicles, the policemen use the tools they carry with them to cut ice to open the road.

The ice pack can reach more than 30 centimeters. Such a bulge is very dangerous to passing vehicles. During our annual patrols, we will use a pick to cut a part to create two lanes, so that passing vehicles are more stable and safer.

In the process of smashing the ice pack, the ice ball may collapse on the face, making the face quite painful.

(Smashing ice packs) It's very hard work, but it's worth it to serve the people.

[Explanation] The police station is 110 kilometers away from the nearest city, and the guard changes once every six months.

Mosquitoes are rampant here in summer, and winter is extremely cold and long. The lowest temperature can reach minus 57 degrees Celsius. The frost-free period is only 90 days. There are almost only two seasons in a year, winter and summer.

The 26-year-old Liang Haiyang is from Suqian, Jiangsu. He has been here for three years. He not only has to adapt to the climate difference, but also constantly adjust his mentality to adapt to the way of life here.

I can't see people at ordinary times. In daily life, I am with my colleagues. Occasionally, I also feel that I feel a little lonely.

It is impossible to say that there is no suffering. Our jurisdiction is equivalent to the size of our two cities. Thinking about it like this, I feel that my responsibility is still very large.

[Explanation] Liang Haiyang's wife's due date is just a few days ago. He can only meet with his wife through video calls every night at his post, which makes her feel guilty for his wife.

I think I owe my daughter-in-law a lot, but we often say that a country has a home, and staying here means maintaining the integrity of the territory of the motherland, even if there is no one here, with boundary markers and national emblems, our The responsibility is there.

[Commentary] Liang Haiyang's words expressed the hearts of the policemen. They used simple words and actions to interpret their youth.

Although the conditions are difficult, we never regret it. We are willing to dedicate our youth to this forest.

I have me at the border, please rest assured of the motherland and people!
