The Kafr El-Zayat Prosecution had investigated the main defendants in the case of the girl "Basant" who committed suicide after consuming a "toxic grain", after her father submitted a report accusing them of blackmailing his daughter and fabricating pictures and videos of her untrue, which affected his daughter's psychological condition and made her decide. In a statement, the Public Prosecution also warned against continuing to publish incorrect details about the case, noting that it noted that “many people continue to engage in unjustified curiosity about the nature of the relationship between the deceased and the accused, assessing the behavior and behavior of her relatives, and circulating circumstances of the incident, some of which are fabricated and some of which are incorrect, and some even touched upon.” To talk about the fate and resting place of the deceased.
The Public Prosecution decided to detain the accused, for 4 days, pending investigation, pending the hearing of witnesses and the review of technical reports.
The Egyptian security services are currently interrogating a number of friends of the two accused young men and some of the girl's friends, to ask them about the details of the incident.
