At 01:45 on January 08, an earthquake of magnitude 6.9 occurred in Menyuan County, Beizhou, Qinghai Province (37.77 degrees north latitude, 101.26 degrees east longitude), with a focal depth of 10 kilometers.
The reporter learned from the Traffic Police Corps of Qinghai Provincial Public Security Department and the Traffic Police Detachment of Haibei Prefecture Public Security Bureau on January 8 that due to the earthquake, the mountain collapsed at 150km+600m, 156km+300m and 159km+700m (Lionkou) of National Highway 227. The road is half-passable; the road surface at 151km+700m of National Highway 227 (Jingyangling Road Section) is cracked in three places with a diameter of 15cm.
At present, the local traffic police and road administration departments are cleaning the road.
