From the bottom of my heart, I think music is contagious, just like piano, chess, calligraphy and calligraphy, there is something to express, as beautiful as poetry, not just fast.

I think that music is a kind of communication with the audience, so I think that when playing the piano (need to be) infectious is a good performance.

[Commentary] Talking about her love for the piano, Zheng Hui recalled her childhood.

Zheng Hui, who was born in Beijing, was deeply influenced by culture since she was a child. Her father also attached great importance to her children’s literary and artistic accomplishments. He often took her to enjoy various painting exhibitions, salons and concerts. From a concert.

My father once took me to a concert in Beijing. He said that this concert has all kinds of (musical instruments), such as violin, cello, piano, and wind. If you like an instrument, I will let you learn it.

Then I just listened, for a while, the violin and cello were very beautiful, until the last piano came out, it was too shocking, I said that I must learn the piano, I feel like the king of musical instruments, and then I talked to Teacher Ling Yuan from the Central Conservatory of Music, Started my piano career.

[Explanation] Zheng Hui later moved to Hong Kong, and graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, then went to the United States for further studies and obtained a doctorate in music performance from the State University of New York.

If she uses music as a metaphor for her life, Beijing, Hong Kong, and the United States should be the three most important notes in this movement.

When I was young, I studied piano with Teacher Ling at the Central Conservatory of Music. At that time, my teachers were from the Soviet school. They focused on laying the foundation for piano.

After that, I moved to Hong Kong with my family. Hong Kong belongs to the European school. The European school pays attention to the expression of music and the meaning of music.

Then I went to the Curtis Institute of Music in the United States when I was 17 years old. The United States focuses on cultivating your personality. I think these three places, and if I go like this, I think it is very right.

[Commentary] Zheng Hui, who has music scenes all over the world, finally chose to return to Hong Kong to develop.

Engaged in piano education in Hong Kong for many years, Zheng Hui believes that she has a responsibility to lead students out of Hong Kong and into the world.

She led four students to win six championships at the Carmel Klavier International Piano Competition.

[Explanation] In order to strengthen the exchanges between the mainland and Hong Kong piano boys, Zheng Hui has been doing her best for many years.

Not only does she often travel to the mainland to serve as a judge of piano competitions, she also holds master classes at the Central Conservatory of Music, and in 2017 she became the first Hong Kong pianist to conduct a tour of 10 cities in the mainland.

During the tour, she held a local charity master class to teach local piano boys.

If you are a mainland player, the technique of holding and playing is very good. When you hear you, your eyes will be widened, and you will be very happy and like it.

When a Hong Kong player comes out, you will easily notice something, that is, his musical sense is very strong, and his voice may not be as transparent as the mainland player, but if the two things can be combined, then it's the best.

[Explanation] As a Hong Kong artist, Zheng Hui expects to contribute what she has learned here.

Talking about the "new support" of the country's "14th Five-Year Plan" for Hong Kong, she hopes to make more contributions to the construction of Sino-foreign cultural and artistic exchange centers and the development of Hong Kong's music and art.

[Concurrent] Hong Kong's famous pianist Zheng Hui

I think this is a very exciting plan. This is the first time that the central government has included Hong Kong in the five-year plan (plan) to build a Sino-foreign cultural and artistic exchange center.

For Hong Kong art workers, it should provide a very big opportunity.

Because I was born in Beijing and I also lived in the United States for 15 years. Now when I come back to Hong Kong, I know Chinese culture and Western culture very well. So I think I am the same as Hong Kong. It has this foundation.
