It is understood that the collapsed house is a two-story brick-concrete structure building, which is the internal canteen of the sub-district office, covering an area of about 70 square meters and a building area of about 150 square meters.
When the accident occurred, some employees of Fengshan Street were eating in the canteen.
After the accident, the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Chongqing Municipal Government quickly established an on-site emergency response headquarters.
Chen Miner, secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Hu Henghua, deputy secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and acting mayor of the municipal government, rushed to the scene of the accident in Fengshan Street, Wulong District, and directed the search and rescue work, and went to the hospital to visit the wounded.
Yang Lin said that the emergency, fire, public security, medical and other forces in Chongqing and Wulong District fully participated in the scientific search and rescue of trapped people and the medical treatment of injured people.
A total of 588 people including fire rescue teams, emergency rescue teams, militia reserves, 2 cranes, 6 fire trucks, 20 ambulances, and several other equipment were dispatched to carry out search and rescue work for trapped people.
The Chongqing Municipal Health Commission coordinated and dispatched 17 municipal experts and more than 100 capable doctors and nurses, opened up a green channel for the treatment of the wounded, implemented "one person, one policy" for the injured, carried out full-scale treatment, and actively and properly handled the aftermath.
