The photo circulated this Thursday morning on Marseille social networks.

We see a garbage collection dumpster in the colors of Greater Lyon, the Lyon metropolis, picking up waste in a street in the 2nd arrondissement.

The bins, marked "MPM", for "Marseille Provence Métropole", leave little doubt as to the location.

Thank you to the metropolis of greater Lyon for picking up our garbage in #Marseille !!

But then, the devil!

?

So what does a dumpster do with our Lyon neighbors in our streets?

A punctual reinforcement of solidarity to complete the elimination of the remains of the strikes of the collection agents of September and last December?

An inter-metropolitan “troll”?

A photomontage to denounce the lack of cleanliness of Marseille streets?

FAKE OFF

Looking at the dumpster, we notice the name of the owner company: Pizzorno.

A quick phone call to the latter immediately dispels the most baroque hypotheses.

"We received a dumpster which was previously in the Greater Lyon area and which got down to work this morning", informs the sales director responsible for the Marseille area for this private company which operates, among others, also in Lyon.

“On Monday, a company comes to change its logo,” he explains.

Phew!

We are reassured.

This dumpster will very soon be in the colors of the city.

In Marseille, Pizzorno has 21 dumpsters, two of which are in reserve.
