Canada..a rapidly contagious brain disease that affects young people..and doctors are baffled

Doctors and research centers in Canada have been working to detect and investigate a mysterious brain disease that mostly affects young people for two years, and so far studies have not determined the causes of its appearance.

And the “Sputnik” agency quoted the “New York Times” newspaper, that the symptoms of the disease include memory problems, muscle spasms, imbalance, hallucinations, weight loss, and pain in the extremities.

Scientists are comparing the disease to Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, also known as mad cow disease, a prion disease with a 100% mortality rate.

One of the victims of the new disease was a 30-year-old woman - she lost weight significantly, suffered hallucinations, and later lost the ability to speak and eat on her own, the newspaper said.

Meanwhile, her nurse, a young student, soon started showing symptoms as well.

Doctors knew of 150 cases of the disease and eight deaths that may be related to it.
