If Ares Alma and his companion were naturally devastated by the early death of their daughter Gea, they now have the feeling of "living in peace".

The young woman, illustrator and tattooist by profession, has indeed immortalized on their wrists "a small fish, which represents our daughter and allowed us to" heal "by carrying her on us".

On the strength of this saving experience, Ares wanted to share it with other families who were victims of the same tragedy.

The "Gea project" therefore allows him to tattoo - free of charge - bereaved parents with the symbols they have chosen themselves.

An "act of healing"

"It's very difficult to describe the force of the moment the ink passed through my skin, but I felt the needle 'heal' every wound in my heart," said Nuria, grateful mother of the late Mateo.

The approach also has the merit of loosening the tongues in a country - Spain - where the evocation of miscarriages remains taboo even though they represent 10 and 20% of pregnancies.
